Staff Source has a temp to hire opening for a customer in Warren, MI. Afternoon Shift 2pm to 10pm
$18 to $20 an hour
The Waste Treatment Operator plays a crucial role within a treatment team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of waste treatment processes. This position involves monitoring waste materials, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols to protect both personnel and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor waste treatment equipment to ensure efficient processing
- Conduct regular safety checks and comply with all safety regulations
- Handle hazardous materials following established safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of waste treatment activities and equipment performance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as necessary
- Maintenance of facility, lubrications, press cleaning, stagnant rinse changes, etc.
- Treat spent waste solutions and dispose according to Federal, State and Local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in waste treatment operations
