Program Assistant

Location: Palm Beach, 1640 South Congress Avenue, Palm Springs, FL 33461, USA Job Type: Full-Time; On-site; Center Admin; Requisition #: PROGR005628 Summary At Pace we transform girls’ lives through academic and counseling programs based on a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma informed framework. Team members create a safe place for girls to learn, process, heal, and begin again. Working Hours M-F 8AM-4PM Responsibilities Follow lesson plan and supervise class in the absence of the Teacher Advisor, following local school board guidelines regarding certification requirements. Assist in proctoring state required tests. Answer incoming calls and greet visitors in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Order, pick up, and distribute lunches for students; process lunch forms and ensure codes (e.g., free or reduced) are accurately entered in the system; perform National School Lunch Program duties where applicable. Record and maintain transportation log; distribute transportation passes as applicable. Maintain daily attendance records and enter data into ETO (and assigned school board information systems). Participate in after‑hours center activities to support girls, families, and program growth. Inventory supplies for the daily operation of the meal program (where applicable). Assist in administration of the Behavior Modification program. Maintain stock for incentives and outwear. Help coordinate awards ceremony. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). Minimum experience using personal computers and database software. Current Florida driver’s license or state‑issued ID. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred). Minimum six months experience in an educational environment (Preferred). Follow mission, values, and principles, policies, and procedures of the Pace Center for Girls. Availability to work evenings and weekends as required. Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required. Work environment characteristics can be stressful, fast‑paced, and require alertness and flexibility. Noise levels are usually quiet but can accelerate to moderate and high levels. Background Screening – This position requires Level II pre‑employment background screening pursuant to Chapters 435, 984, 985, and 943, Florida Statutes, and the Department of Juvenile Justice policy and procedures.
