Position Details:

• Flexible Shifts: Enjoy 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts

Your Role and Impact:

• Patient Care: Escort patients to examination rooms, take medical histories, and perform vitals
• Lab Work: Conduct basic lab tests such as urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID swabs
• Medication Administration: Administer medications under the supervision of a medical provider
• Administrative Support: Greet patients, handle phone calls, verify insurance, and manage appointments
• Team Collaboration: Ensure the clinic is tidy and well-stocked, and support your co-workers to provide the best patient experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical setting
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skills: Strong computer and technological skills, active listening, and clear communication

Requirements

Education:

• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
• Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions
• Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required
