Assistant Supervisor I

Job Title

Will support the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization. The qualified candidate must be able to direct and assign employees as needed to ensure all aspects of quality product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supports Allen Harim's mission, vision and values

Be able to communicate with other associates at all levels, have a good attendance record

Reporting team member performance records to the Management team

Ensuring the department is in compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards

Must assist in the training of all associates

Ensure team members properly wear PPE, and that they understand safety procedures

Set daily objectives and communicate them to their team

Will be responsible for paperwork relating to the department

Supervise cleanup work performed during breaks such as lunch, and in between shifts to meet USDA and state requirements

Must be able to act as Supervisor when needed

Saturdays to be expected

All other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience

Knowledge of Poultry Plant or Food production

Knowledge/Skills

PC skills required (MS Office)

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills preferred.

High degree of attention to detail

Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication is required with management and staff.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions.

Work Environment

The job operates in a poultry plant environment. The environment can be wet, hot, cold, noisy, and odorous.
