Job Title: Inpatient Phlebotomist Job Description As a Phlebotomist, you will exhibit proficiency in blood collection through venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups in a hospital setting. Responsibilities + Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups. + Conduct pediatric blood collections and handle difficult draws + Ensure compliance with safety standards and communicate their importance to team members. Essential Skills + Inpatient phlebotomist experience + Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and neonatal procedures. + Possession of a CPT 1 License. + Strong computer skills and experience with lab systems such as Cerner. + Excellent customer service skills. + At least six months to one year of experience in an acute or sub-acute setting, with neonatal experience preferred. + Experience in inpatient settings, with the ability to draw 20-30 patients in an 8-hour inpatient shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma. + Hospital experience. + Excellent attendance and behavior record. + Flexibility with shifts and hours. Work Environment The role involves working in a high-volume hospital setting. The schedule requires open availability. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
