Mobile Phlebotomist / Medical Examiner

APPS is seeking dependable, experienced Phlebotomists and Medical Assistants to perform mobile life and disability insurance examinations.

This is a flexible part-time income opportunity that can fit around your current work schedule, full-time job, family responsibilities, or other commitments. You choose your availability and the appointments you are able to accept.

As an independent contractor, you will travel to clients within approximately 30 miles of your home ZIP code to complete basic medical examinations for individuals applying for life and disability insurance. Appointments are typically completed in 15–45 minutes , depending on the requirements of the insurance carrier.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform basic health screenings and medical histories.
• Measure height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and other required measurements.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and occasionally saliva specimens.
• Perform EKGs when required — training is provided .
• Accurately complete examination paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Prepare specimens for shipment and ensure they are shipped within 24 hours of collection .
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients in their homes, workplaces, or other convenient locations.

What You Need:

• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills.
• Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar clinical experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Smartphone and basic computer skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own appointments.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• EKG experience is helpful but not required — training is available .

Equipment & Support

APPS provides the necessary collection kits and FedEx shipping supplies . Examiners provide basic equipment such as a blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, measuring tape, and weight scale .

Compensation:

• $20–$40 per completed case , depending on the insurance carrier's requirements.
• Mileage reimbursement based on the applicable travel radius.
• Biweekly direct deposit payments.
• Flexible scheduling — work around your existing full-time job or other commitments.
• Choose the appointments that fit your availability.
• Independent 1099 contractor position.
