About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown setting. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with moderate to high acuity, requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Respiratory Care

• Manage chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac systems)
• Provide care for patients on CPAP/BiPAP
• Perform tracheostomy care and management

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response

• Interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage and respond to dysrhythmias
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Teams

Medication Administration

• Administer and monitor cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as required
• Perform procedural sedation and monitoring

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Peripheral IV line care and management
• PICC line management

Cardiovascular Care

• Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
