Frontend Engineer

Our client is a global Private Equity firm based in Boston. The firm invests in all types of private equity funds, including venture capital and leveraged buyout funds in addition to directly in operating companies. Company Perks and Rewards Base salary ranging from $145,000 – $155,000 + 40% Bonus Benefits, 401K, PTO Hybrid work model (4 days in office) The Role The Front End Engineer will work closely with Product and Product Design on a portfolio management application built on top of 40 years of proprietary private equity data. Full stack knowledge is a strong plus — it gives the team flexibility to bring you in on backend work when priorities shift but this is fundamentally a front-end role, and you'll eventually take full ownership of the front-end design and architecture as it scales. This role calls for someone who can work independently and take real accountability for what they build, partnering closely with Design to bring a large-scale enterprise product to life for a finance and investments audience. What you Bring 4+ years of experience with React and TypeScript , building enterprise‑grade software at meaningful user scale. Solid testing experience and comfort with state management (Redux or similar). Exposure to Azure preferred; backend is in Python, so comfort collaborating across that stack is a plus. Comfort working in or genuine interest in finance and investments — you'll be building for institutional clients, so understanding the business context matters. Strong, confident, and concise communication‑someone who can flex the level of detail for different audiences, provides real context in how they explain things, and says what's on their mind directly. Independence and ownership‑comfortable working with a remote manager and running with ambiguity rather than waiting for direction.
