Lifeguard PositionThis position is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:CREATES WOW by: anticipating needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it nowMaintains safe pool environment, prevents injuries, and minimizes/eliminates hazardous situations established and recommended by the American Red CrossMaintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergencyProvides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical servicesPresents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer serviceCommunicates with other lifeguards for assistance and/or equipmentStudies, observes and enforces all pool rules to ensure the safety and well-being of all persons in the pool areaFollows rotation order to ensure alertness at all timesWears uniform when on dutyCompletes required records and reports on timeAssumes responsibility for some daily routines maintenance tasks and maintains cleanliness of family locker roomsAdheres to all of the various written mandatory and recommended standards of operation, policies, procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job as establishedAssist Aquatics Director, Aquatics Coordinator, and/or Head Life Guard with other assigned dutiesBenefits and Incentives Offered - (waiting period applies):Daily Complimentary MealsEmployee Referral Program ($200)Scholarship ProgramHoliday/Christmas BonusEmployee of the MonthSummer and Holiday PartiesRecognition AwardsTenure AwardsBirthday MealsGift Card Program (Birthday & Anniversary)Requirements:Qualification/Requirements: (A detailed and comprehensive list of the qualifications and requirements of the position.
