Are you living your life's work?Purpose Of JobTo support the Acute Care and Critical care inpatient nursing units on the off shifts by acting as a resource, promoting patient safety and facilitating orientation and educational programming in collaboration with the Unit based Clinical Educators for the Acute Care and the Critical Care nursing units.Essential Functions1. Demonstrates clinical/technical proficiency and maintains knowledge base of hospital policies, nursing practice guidelines, and utilization of equipment in order to serve as a clinical resource and mentor to the staff.2. Collaborates with Unit based Clinical Educators to facilitate orientation and educational programs to assure compliance with hospital standards and the Nurse Practice Act as well as regulatory standards and evidence-based practice3. Communicates in a variety of settings with nursing Associates, patients, physicians, family members, and other members of the healthcare team to achieve excellence in patient care.4. Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence-based guidelines and the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.QualificationsEducation: BSN required, MSN preferred, professional certification in area of specialty preferredExperience: Three years’ clinical experienceOther Skills:-Teaching experience-Computer skills with Microsoft ProductsWe believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
