Job Description: Job Title: MRI Tech Schedule : 5x8 Days (8 hrs) Shift: EVENINGS: Thursday – Monday Pay Range for Traveler: $2,700.00- $2,766.00 Weekly DOE Pay Range for local: $60.00-$64.00/Hourly -W2 Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and who Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using various imaging equipment and contrast material. Prepares and administers gadolinium-based contrast material following Carle policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrates imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Ensures safety of patients, visitors, and the environment; reports safety events immediately. May perform duties of MRI Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence. Meets departmental productivity benchmarks; assists other areas during downtimes. May perform duties in other imaging modalities if licensed/trained. Complies with job descriptions of cross-trained modalities. Secondary registries not required unless specified by compliance or accrediting bodies. Researches assignments as needed. Independently performs MRI procedures and assigned invasive procedures per department protocols, including multi-planar reformats and/or 3D images. Reviews cases with radiologists when appropriate. Administers IV gadolinium-based contrast and monitors for adverse or allergic reactions. Performs veni-puncture and places IV lines as needed. Reviews radiology orders for completeness and accuracy. Reviews patient history and clinical data for medical necessity; gathers additional info if needed. Transfers and verifies image data in PACS; provides medical history for radiologist interpretation. Uses RIS for scheduling, billing, and coding of procedures. Sends exams for preliminary readings to nighthawks after hours via web server/EA viewer and email. Maintains imaging equipment and workplace environment; manages supply inventories and work area orderliness. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and reports service needs promptly. Assists in instructing students and new staff as needed Required Certification & Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI Tech experience BLS-AHA and ARMRIT or ARRT Certified MRI Technologist OR Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) About Pride Health: Pride Health is Pride Global healthcare staffing branch, providing recruitment solutions for healthcare professionals and the industry at large since 2010.
