About the Opportunity

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Rheumatologist. The physician will provide clinical care to children with rheumatologic, autoimmune, and autoinflammatory disorders and will participate in shared rheumatology consultation on the inpatient service. The clinical focus will be in the ambulatory setting, with possible supervision of advanced practice providers and nursing staff. Clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children’s Hospital’s ambulatory and inpatient sites, and at University of Utah clinics.

In addition to clinical service, the position requires engagement in research and scholarly activities, with an expectation of obtaining grant funding to support salary. Academic responsibilities include education, administration/service, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for pediatric rheumatology patients in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Participate in shared consultations on the inpatient service.
• Supervise advanced practice providers and nursing staff as needed.
• Engage in research and pursue grant funding.
• Contribute to academic work including education, administration/service, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology.
• Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track (level commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Compensation & Benefits
