Technical Lead, Application Development

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead the implementation and delivery of our software solutions. This role will provide technical leadership to a development team, ensuring high-quality implementation of features, adherence to engineering standards, and successful collaboration with architects, product owners, QA, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Microservices, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, along with experience working in Agile development environments. This individual will be a player-coach who contributes to development efforts while mentoring team members and driving engineering excellence.

Compensation Range: $140,000 to $160,000 + Bonus.

Salary range reflects the Jersey City, NJ market & compensation may vary based on geographic location

You will:

• Lead the implementation of application features and enhancements based on designs and architectural standards provided by the Architecture team.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute to software development when needed.
• Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with architects to understand technical designs and guide the team through implementation.
• Assist developers with technical problem solving, debugging, and solution development.
• Mentor and coach developers on technical skills, coding practices, and professional development.

You have:

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Senior Developer, or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with: Node.js, Microservices, React, Next.js
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
• Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation activities
• Strong code review and technical mentoring experience
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
