Registered Nurse (RN) – Heart Failure Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Transitional Care Unit (TCU) 6D located within the Edgewood Hospital. The unit is a 36‑bed cardiac telemetry stepdown with a full‑time night shift of 36 hours per week (7 P‑7 A). Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown – 36 Bed Unit. Job Description: The licensed registered nurse is a professional nurse who is responsible and accountable for providing evidence‑based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process. This is accomplished by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical/cultural codes and standards of nursing practice and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The registered nurse is responsible for delegating tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health‑care team members. Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees regardless of cultural background. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. If eligible, hold a Compact (multi‑state) license in the primary state of residence. Licensed to practice in the state where work is performed. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state‑required courses. Education focuses on clinical practice in the assigned area. Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies, and competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration. Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures. Experience: Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
