Project Manager - Manufacturing (Medical Device / NPI Focus)

Project Manager – Manufacturing & New Product Introduction
Location: Cranston, RI (On-Site)
I'm working with a growing medical device manufacturer seeking a Project Manager to lead new product introductions, manufacturing projects, and customer-driven programs.
This is not a traditional project coordinator role.
The team is looking for someone who understands manufacturing firsthand and can work effectively with engineering, quality, operations, machining, tooling, and production teams to move projects from concept through production.
What You'll Do
- Lead NPI and manufacturing projects from kickoff through production launch
- Coordinate engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and milestones
- Identify project risks and drive mitigation plans
- Support validation and qualification activities in regulated manufacturing environments
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Drive accountability while helping teams remove technical and operational roadblocks
- Support continuous improvement of project execution processes
What We're Looking For
- Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading NPI, manufacturing transfer, capital equipment, or customer-driven programs
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, tooling, assembly, fabrication, molding, automation, or related disciplines
- Ability to work directly with engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and engaging with technical teams
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or other regulated environments
