Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Exterior Line Builder

Job Description

This role focuses on building exterior doors on an assembly line within a warehouse environment. You will perform physically demanding general labor tasks, operate hand and power tools, and help keep production running smoothly by maintaining a steady work pace. This is a contract-to-hire position with a three-month evaluation period, after which you may transition to a direct role with additional opportunities for overtime and merit-based raises.

Responsibilities

• Build exterior doors on an assembly line using drills and other power tools on a constant basis.
• Perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and products throughout the workday.
• Use hand tools such as hammers, mallets, and sanding tools to assemble, adjust, and finish door components.
• Apply touch-up paint and perform minor finishing work to ensure doors meet quality and appearance standards.
• Support production by maintaining a consistent work pace so that the line does not slow down or stop.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete daily production assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of steel-toed boots and safe handling of power tools.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean work area.
• Participate in pre-employment and ongoing compliance requirements, including background and drug screening as specified by company policy.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1 or more years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting and sustained standing on a production line.
• Experience using hand tools such as hammers, mallets, and sanding tools.
• Experience using drills and other power tools in a production, assembly, or construction environment.
• Ability to work effectively in an assembly and production setting where maintaining pace is critical.
• Capability to follow safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots.
• Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and strong attendance.
• Military experience preferred for the discipline, teamwork, and reliability it brings to the role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tacoma,WA.
