Job Requisition ID #26WD101239Position OverviewAutodesk Fusion brings together design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing in a single product development platform. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fusion Electronics team and help build the next generation of electronics design capabilities. You are a strong software engineer and systems thinker who enjoys finding simple solutions to complex problems, takes pride in your craft, and thinks about the product and customer, not just the code. You will work across architecture, implementation, and product workflows, taking ownership from design through delivery.You will also help us build better electronics design workflows that contribute to more sustainable products and manufacturing, turning sustainability goals into meaningful improvements in how products are designed and made.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, ship, and iterate on high-quality software for Fusion ElectronicsSolve complex engineering problems and contribute to system and software architectureOwn features from design through implementation and deliveryCollaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to solve customer problemsHelp create electronics design workflows that improve engineering and sustainability outcomesUse modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, Copilot, or similar tools effectively throughout the development lifecycleContribute to technical direction, engineering practices, and the growth of other engineersMinimum Qualifications5+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong software design, architecture, and problem-solving skillsStrong programming skills, including experience with C++ or similar systems programming languagesExperience building and delivering complex, production-quality softwareDemonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted development tools combined with strong engineering judgmentStrong communication, collaboration, and ability to learn new technologies and domainsPreferred QualificationsExperience with CAD, EDA/ECAD, or other complex engineering softwareKnowledge of or passion for electronics and electronic product developmentExperience developing large-scale desktop applications in C++Interest or experience in sustainability, manufacturing efficiency, or sustainable product designLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $117,000 and $209,330. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
