Mammography Technologist

Ensure that the evaluation of mammography procedures are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

-Performs routine mammography as well as bone density scans and biopsy procedures as requested by referring staff.

-Demonstrates adequate radiation safety practices as it relates to both patients as well as co-workers.

-Provides patient education as required.

-Maintains the required number of CEU to maintain mammography certification.

-Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists and other department customers to ensure efficient operations.

-Participates in all Radiology Management System functions as they relate to patient procedures.

-Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods and procedures while performing mammography and bone density procedures.

-Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education: Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology.

Required Certifications & Licensure: NYS licensure registration in Radiologic Technology with Mammography credential. BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). ARRT certification.

Start Date: 9/28/2026 Shift: 8a-4:30p Required: Prior experience in Mammography, ARRT (R)(M) Hours Per Day: 8.
