About the Role

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to serve as the face of our busy outpatient clinic in Arlington, VA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and can effectively multitask between patient interactions, administrative responsibilities, and incoming phone calls.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting providers and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes
• Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and requests
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients, providers, and staff
• Support daily front office operations and administrative tasks
• Effectively balance patient interactions, data entry, and phone responsibilities throughout the day

Required Qualifications

• Previous medical front desk, patient service, or healthcare customer service experience
• Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable answering high-volume phone calls
• Solid computer skills and data entry experience
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a busy clinic setting
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Schedule

• Monday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
