Job Summary:


Seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) with expertise in chemistry and microbiology to perform complex lab tests in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves working during night shifts on alternating weekends, with opportunities to develop in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and analyze chemistry and microbiology lab tests using analyzers such as Alinity, BioFire, and Cepheid.
• Ensure accurate documentation and charting of laboratory results within the Epic system.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety and quality protocols to ensure precise testing outcomes.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including night shifts and alternating weekends, with flexibility for on-call duties.
• Comply with certification and licensing standards to uphold laboratory accreditation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ASCP, AMT, or equivalent MLS or MLT certification with a state license (license preferred but not required).
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory, specifically in chemistry and microbiology.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using analyzers such as Alinity, BioFire, and Cepheid.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and accommodate block scheduling if approved.
• Be willing to adhere to RTO submission guidelines and hurricane season protocols.
