Assistant Property Manager-NRI

Assistant Property Manager Schedule Required availability for 2 weekends per month. Compensation Base Salary, Commission & Bonus: Quarterly bonus plus leasing commission. Generous Benefits Package. Expected starting salary range: $56,000 - $84,000 (full-time). Key Responsibilities Manage renewal offers and track delinquency reports. Address resident conflicts based on severity. Conduct move-in and move-out inspections. Support leasing activities and ensure smooth onboarding of new residents. Post rent checks. Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the on-site Property Manager. Cultivate prospect and resident relationships through process improvement initiatives. Maintain a significant presence on the sales floor as an effective sales associate and demonstrate product knowledge. Ensure team compliance with company policies and all fair housing laws, state tenant/landlord laws, and other regulations. Understand operations within the physical asset, including call boxes, key fobs, and other security systems. Lead collection efforts for current, prospective, and past residents. Craft and distribute written correspondence that is professional and well timed, including renewals and new lease documents. Process move-ins and move-outs to ensure accuracy of resident records. Provide support in training efforts and onboarding of the on-site team. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Previous leasing experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Apartment management designations preferred. One or more years in multi‑family property management preferred. Strong understanding of fair housing laws. Proven track record of sales and high attention to detail when completing paperwork. Effective communication, problem‑solving, and people‑management skills. Reporting Relationships Reports to the Senior Property Manager or Property Manager. Typical Skills and Experiences Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies, and experiences may take precedence.
