Pulmonologist Opportunity

West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a Pulmonologist to serve in an outreach role with WVU Medicine hospitals and partner facilities. The successful candidate will be expected to practice at several southern West Virginia clinic locations: Thomas Memorial Hospital (South Charleston, WV), Jackson General Hospital (Ripley, WV), Roane General Hospital (Spencer, WV) and Boone Memorial Hospital (Madison, WV).

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidates must have completed a Pulmonology residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Pulmonology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Location: West Virginia's capital city is perfectly positioned at the confluence of the Kanawha and Elk Rivers. Three major interstates converge, making it a highly accessible destination for visitors looking for an affordable getaway. Charleston boasts the history you would expect of a capital city, but a growing arts scene and its riverside position makes it a hub for recreation and culture, too.

Today, the WVU Health System has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. Anchored by a 700-bed academic medical center in Morgantown, the Health System includes 25 member hospitals that collectively serve a multi-state region that includes West Virginia, Western Maryland, Eastern Ohio, and Southwestern Pennsylvania.
