Cad Designer

Role Summary

The Project Development Designer prepares conceptual drawings and visual design
documentation that define project scope and support estimating, proposals, procurement
planning, and early engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare conceptual plans, layouts, one-lines, details, and other development drawings.
• Translate engineering direction into clear, coordinated, estimate-ready design
documentation.
• Apply approved CAD standards, templates, blocks, libraries, and file-management
requirements.
• Support quantity development, equipment arrangement, constructability review, and
scope definition.
• Coordinate drawing inputs with engineers, estimators, and other design disciplines.
• Maintain drawing quality, consistency, and revision discipline.
• Identify design conflicts, missing information, and constructability concerns.
• Contribute reusable content and feedback to company standards and libraries.

Required Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, or a related
field.
• Relevant experience using AutoCAD or comparable design software.
• Strong technical drawing, spatial reasoning, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting conceptual engineering, estimating, or proposal development.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Experience with controlled engineering document systems.
