Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren’t located near one of our physical sites. We’re not there yet, but it’s what we’re working toward with every hire and every person who walks through our doors.****Job Summary****This role works under the direction of the Lead Technical Artist and in close collaboration with Experience Team creatives to translate creative vision and produce animation, cohesive graphics packages, and environmental elements to create an immersive weekend experience. The primary focus of this role is content for a large LED volume for weekend services, but may also include AR/XR projects as well. A solid foundation and experience in 3D work is absolutely essential. We are looking for an artist with a strong aesthetic sensibility with the drive to create excellent work and to stay on the cutting edge of this technology as it continues to evolve rapidly.****Principal Duties & Responsibilities***** Design and execute a variety of assets (digital environments, animation, graphics packages, etc.) to create an immersive weekend experience that is cohesive with the overall creative direction.* Execute a weekly production plan for asset creation.* Maintain documentation of technical and workflow problems and solutions.* Build and manage a library of assets, templates and presets.****Experience/Skills Requirements***** 1-5+ years of professional motion graphics experience (please submit a reel or samples of work).* Proficient in content creation and integration in a game engine.* Experience working with 3D design including: modeling, texturing/materials, UV mapping, virtual lighting and rendering.* Experience creating generative and interactive content as well as real-time content rendering and modification.* Robust understanding of data routing including: ASCN, Midi, ArtNet, and OSC.* Familiarity with a broadcast video environment including digital signal processing and stage lighting systems.* Any experience with interactive/infrared tracking systems (leapmotion, kinect, etc.) is a plus.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.* Knowledge of the Google web platform and a willingness to learn other software tools as needed.* Organized, disciplined with priorities, and meticulous attention to detail.* Able to work independently without direct supervision.* Able to perform effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.Proficiency in multiple of the following tools is desired:* Disguise* Touch Designer* Notch* Unreal Engine* Unity* Stage Precision* Cinema 4D* Maya* Vectorworks* Adobe Creative Suite****Physical Requirements***** Must be able to walk up to 5 miles while performing duties, including standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.* Must be able to lift 25 and 50 lbs.****Schedule/Travel Requirements***** Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and other high impact events at Crossroads.**Crossroads Staff Qualities**Qualities all staff teammates should exhibit:* Mission Oriented: Committed to the Crossroads mission and expectations in the staff “I Promise” document, including using the Bible as the ultimate standard of truth, practicing spiritual disciplines, tithing, and pursuing personal purity.* Availability: Expected to work outside of “normal” schedule for All Hands on Deck high-impact events (Holy Week/Easter, Super Bowl, Christmas, others as needed), participate in all-staff meetings, day of solitude, offsites, etc.* Authenticity: Communicates clearly, directly, and honestly, even under stress, and does so with a sustained positive attitude and demeanor.* Personal Leadership: Envisions, energizes, and enables others to operate at full potential.* Collaborative Self-starter: Thrives as an individual contributor and works well on a team.* Proactive Problem Solver: Takes initiative to understand departmental objectives, adapts to changing and fluid environments, and proactively solves problems.* Humility: Puts others above self and takes ownership of mistakes.* Learner: Desires growth and learning from others.* Flexibility: Able to quickly shift between projects as organizational direction and needs change, able to successfully balance competing priorities.
