Job:  Fitout Tradesman A-Class

Pay:  $40.00 per hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Mobile, AL

Required Experience

Candidates  must have experience in at least one of the following:

• Sheet Metal Mechanic
• Industrial Insulator
• HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)

Qualifications

To qualify, you should have:

• 3 years of progressive marine experience OR 5 years of comparable construction trade experience
• Working knowledge of:
  • Cabinet making
  • Carpentry
  • Industrial insulation
  • HVAC systems
• Basic mechanical aptitude and trade math skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and perform accurate material takeoffs

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings with minimal supervision.
• Lay out, fabricate, and install:
  • Bulkheads
  • Doors
  • Ceilings
  • Shelving
  • Furniture
  • Consoles
  • Other interior components
• Measure, fabricate, and install insulation and ductwork.
• Mark layouts, shoot pins, and insulate deckheads, side shells, beams, and duct systems.
• Measure, build, and install mounting pads.
• Install pipe insulation and fittings with clean, professional workmanship.
• Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes.
• Read both standard and metric tape measurements.
• Take drawings and materials to the job site and complete work independently.
• Install valves, air hangers, and other HVAC equipment.
• Lay out hangers, ductwork, and related components.
• Perform basic interior painting as needed.
• Complete work safely, accurately, and with minimal supervision.
