Job Overview Senior Scientist – DSCS Digital Technologies (DDT)Location: Rahway, NJ or West Point, PA Join a global biopharmaceutical leader dedicated to developing innovative products across oncology, vaccines, and animal health. The role focuses on integrating advanced digital capabilities into laboratory environments to accelerate pharmaceutical development. Responsibilities Identify, develop, and deploy digital and data‑rich technologies that improve how process, product, and analytical data are collected. Leverage data integration and engineering tools within the PAT ecosystem to advance scientific research. Build digital and data integration platforms for PAT and deliver solutions that integrate analytical instrumentation and sensors. Enable frictionless flow of PAT data streams using state‑of‑the‑art data engineering techniques. Invent data science approaches to extract actionable insights from large PAT data sets. Impact Design the lab of the future by integrating robotics, analytical instrumentation, and software into cohesive, high‑performing solutions. Partner with researchers to understand experimental needs and convert them into scalable digital workflows. Collaborate across automation, data science, modeling, IT, and CMC disciplines to deliver high‑impact projects. Lead projects from concept through deployment, coordinating teams and stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes. Continuously improve existing digital technologies and automation platforms to enhance performance, usability, and reliability. Empower scientists through hands‑on partnership, support, troubleshooting, and training. Education Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Physics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science, or a closely related field (expected graduation 2026). M.S. in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. B.S. in a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Required Experience & Skills Highly motivated, technology‑centric scientist passionate about modernizing development practices across biologics, vaccines, and small molecules. Background in data‑rich technologies, data engineering, and digital integration across PAT ecosystems. Demonstrated scientific ability through publications and conference presentations. Excellent communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver complex solutions under compressed timelines in a dynamic environment. Team player with strong cross‑functional collaboration experience. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience with a broad range of data engineering and data science technologies, including digital integration of analytical instrumentation. Expertise in PAT, designing and deploying integrated sensors that enable frictionless data flow. Track record of identifying, developing, and deploying digital and data‑rich methodologies in research settings. Evidence of cross‑functional collaboration in academic or industrial settings. Motivation to learn new skills, willingness to take on new challenges, and scientific curiosity. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive if applicable.
