General Manager

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on General Manager to lead the opening of an exciting new two-story restaurant and event venue in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

Opening in November 2026 , our restaurant will offer an elevated dining experience on the first floor with a dedicated private event space upstairs for weddings, corporate events, celebrations, and community gatherings. As our General Manager, you will play a critical role in building our team, shaping our culture, and delivering exceptional hospitality from day one.

Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of restaurant and event operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team. This individual will work closely with ownership to establish operational standards, recruit and train staff, implement systems and procedures, and drive the restaurant's long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful opening and daily operation of the restaurant and private event venue.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop front-of-house management and hourly team members.
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless service and quality.
• Oversee scheduling, labor management, payroll, and staffing levels.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and profitability.
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor licensing regulations.
• Develop and implement operational policies, service standards, and training programs.
• Support private events and coordinate with clients to ensure successful execution.
• Build relationships within the Glenside community and represent the restaurant professionally.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve operations, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of General Manager or senior restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Proven experience leading restaurant openings is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of restaurant financials, budgeting, labor management, and cost controls.
• Experience managing beverage programs and liquor operations is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
