Production Supervisor

Priority: VERY HIGH Position Summary The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing and multi-axis CNC machining operations for aerospace engine components. The role leads the shop‑floor team to meet production schedules and monthly sales goals while maintaining aerospace quality standards, tight tolerances, and AS9100 compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage daily shop‑floor activities across manufacturing departments. Oversee CNC machining operations for aerospace engine components. Direct, train, mentor, and hold machinists accountable. Monitor employee productivity, efficiency, and utilization. Ensure production schedules and sales goals are achieved. Partner with Quality Control to prioritize and schedule required parts. Enforce quality standards and support a zero‑defect production culture. Maintain OSHA safety requirements and proper handling of exotic aerospace alloys. Track daily production metrics and scrap rates. Maintain material traceability through the ERP system. Identify and resolve production and machining issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications 8–10 years of aerospace manufacturing experience Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience over CNC machining departments Aerospace manufacturing experience is MUST HAVE Production Supervisor experience is MUST HAVE CNC machining supervision experience Multi-axis CNC machining experience Experience managing/leading machinists Basic blueprint reading GD&T knowledge Hands‑on machining experience is a strong plus Quality / Compliance Strong working knowledge of: AS9100 AS13100 ISO 9001 NADCAP special processes OSHA requirements Software Microsoft Office ERP/MRP systems Visual 11 ERP — preferred/plus Production/data tracking tools Ideal Candidate The client’s ideal candidate started as a machinist/CNC machinist and worked their way into supervision .
