Talent Management Lead

JOB SUMMARY

Plans, administers and implements talent management programs and processes, including succession planning, talent reviews, performance management, career development, and individual development planning. Assesses organizational and individual talent needs, facilitates talent reviews and development discussions, and recommends targeted development opportunities and strategies to strengthen the talent pipeline, support employee growth, and address current and future workforce needs. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Designs, implements, and continuously improves the organization’s succession planning process. Assesses succession readiness, identifies talent gaps, and develops pools of potential candidates who can fill critical roles.

- Executes the performance management process for both union and non-union employees.

- Partners with leaders and HR Business Partners to facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions, ensuring consistent evaluation of talent and actionable follow-up.

- Recommends and drafts individual development plans (IDP) or development opportunities, including stretch assignments, coaching, mentoring, job rotations, formal learning, leadership development, and other experiences aligned with career and business needs.

- Analyzes and reports on metrics and dashboards to evaluate succession readiness, development progress, retention risks, and other talent indicators.

- Supports the development and implementation of tools that promote employee growth and internal mobility.

- Partners with leaders to strengthen internal talent pipelines and increase opportunities for internal movement, career growth, and advancement.

- Provides consultation and coaching to managers on talent assessment, development conversations, succession planning, and effective employee development.

- Supports other strategic HR and organizational development initiatives as assigned.

- Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology or a closely related field.

- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as outlined in the Education Equivalencies Policy.

EXPERIENCE

- Candidate must possess five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Learning & Development or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading talent management, succession planning, talent reviews, leadership development, or employee development programs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or other Human Resources certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Candidate must possess extensive knowledge in Talent Management processes and tools.

- Candidate must be skilled in project management, problem-solving and analysis, follow-through and influence and persuasion. The ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- Candidate must possess effective written and verbal communication, organizational skills and decision-making abilities.

- Candidate must possess the ability to effectively plan, coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.

- Candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of managing data, maintaining detailed comprehensive records, and analyzing, organizing and presenting information

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

During the course of performing the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to analyze, communicate, comprehend, coordinate, make decisions, possess general intelligence, interact, interpret, negotiate, possess numerical intelligence, organize, problem solve, have resilience and perform tasks. Physical work will need to be performed, such as balancing, bending, driving, feeling, reaching, sitting, standing, talking, typing and walking. Repetitive movements will need to be performed such as simple grasping and fine manipulation with one or both hands. Ability to push, pull and lift from floor to waist or waist to shoulder up to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis may be necessary. Position will require visual demands of accommodation, depth perception, far acuity and near acuity. Ability to withstand faint to moderate noise exposure for fifteen minutes or longer on an infrequent basis is required.

Pay Range: USD, Commensurate with Experience


$80,606 - $100,758
