Job Description
The Groundskeeper shall maintain grounds, walks, parking areas, lawns, shrubbery, trees, etc., in order to keep university properties in a neat and presentable condition. Required Qualifications
one to two years experience in nursery and landscaping. Preferred Qualifications
ability to lift 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than; ability to use up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally Physical Demands Campus

pick up trash, sweep sidewalks and curbs, rake leaves off grounds and parking lots; Job Duty
plant flowers and trees, lay down mulch Job Duty
seed and reseed lawn areas; Job Duty
weed, trim hedges, apply fertilizers, etc Job Duty
remove dead trees, limbs and stones from lawn. Job Duty
mow lawn, operate small tractor and grounds equipment, keep equipment clean and operable; Job Duty
make repairs and adjustments to such equipment as mowers, sprinklers, leaf blowers, string trimmers, chain saws and hedge shears Job Duty
*make repairs to outdoor chairs and benches; Job Duty
maintain and clean signs Job Duty
keep trash cans empty and clean; Job Duty
may move furniture in facilities Job Duty
may haul linen and trash Job Duty
may sweep floors and work trash carts as needed; Job Duty
assist with snow removal Job Duty
complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University Job Duty
