POSITION: Cook
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt- Part Time-Hourly

Legends Global, the world's leading venue management and services company, has an and immediate opening for the position of a Prep Cook in Richmond, Virginia. Under direction of the Executive Chef, the Part Time Prep Cook's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with Legend Global policies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Responsibilities:

* Ensure meals maintain a high level of quality and are prepared in a consistent and timely manner
* Supervises storage areas to assist in ordering food and supplies
* Monitors all leftover foods insuring proper labeling, storage usage
* In consultation with the supervisor, coordinates production with meal servicing hours to ensure that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.
* Carves and apportions food for serving and assists in serving meals
* Fills special diet orders following menu extension guides
* Maintains sanitation standards of all food production areas and the cook's refrigerator
* Clean food preparation area, including utensils used and equipment; wash dishes, take out trash, mop floors
* Ensure all electrical and gas appliances are turned off before leaving kitchen area and at end of shift
* Responsible for daily cleaning and weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen areas

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* This position requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.
* Functional requirements including constant standing and walking
* Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning and stretching.

REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* 1-2 years experience
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: In accordance with Virginia law, the anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour
