Sterile Processing Technician II - BONUS ELIGIBLE

Summary
While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing equipment, supplies, and instruments needed for patient care to the nursing units, based upon specific assignments and in accordance with established standards. Responsible for the processing and sterilization of all surgical instrumentation; required to assemble and deliver case carts for all surgical procedures. Minimum Qualifications- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One year of Sterile Processing experience.
- Meets of one of the following:
- Active certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- Attainment of certification as a Central Service Technician or Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician within 18 months of hire.
- Employment by a health care facility as a Sterile Processing Technician or Central Services Technician prior to December 28, 2020.
- Previous experience assembling case carts.
- Ability to identify surgical instrumentation.
- Sterile processing certification.
