Front Desk Receptionist/Insurance Coordinator

Job Summary Should be dynamic, can‑do type attitude, organized individual to coordinate front desk activities for a fast paced Surgical practice. Candidate will provide superior patient service and enhance the patient experience. Responsibilities Schedule appointments, collect demographics, and update patient information in the computer system to maintain accurate billing records. Call insurance companies and use Navinet, Avality portals to verify coverage, determine benefit levels and patient co‑pays. Request prior authorizations. Enter information into the computer system, working with electronic records. Obtain all appropriate consent forms. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Qualifications At least 2 years experience as a receptionist, scheduling coordinator, or insurance coordinator in a medical environment. Strong customer service experience, computer literate, detail oriented, with excellent communication skills. Background knowledge of insurance verification, EHR systems, and medical terminology. Open‑minded and capable of working as a team player.
