Clinical Pharmacist - General

Summary Reviews, evaluates and dispenses individual drug orders including unit dose medications, intravenous additive preparations, total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapeutic agents, and investigational agents; interacts with nurses and prescribers to consult on medication and treatments along with drug therapy; monitors the drug therapy and offers cost effective alternatives, as appropriate; counsels patients in the proper use of prescribed drugs; oversees and directs pharmacy technician staff in the execution of technical functions. This is a temporary-benefited position with a starting salary of $138,234 with an additional geographic differential of $6,007. This includes a full comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience. License Requirement License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York Notes Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
