Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist with 1-2 years of experience or higher to operate CNC machines effectively. The role involves performing CNC machine operations, primarily focusing on mill operations, with an opportunity to work in the CNC lathe department. Your main tasks will include loading parts, machining, and conducting checks using calipers and micrometers during in-process machining. You will also engage in deburring of parts when time permits.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines with a focus on mill operations.

• Load parts into machines and initiate the machining process.

• Conduct quality checks using calipers and micrometers during in-process machining.

• Perform deburring of parts when time allows.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience as a machinist.

• Proficiency in CNC machine operation.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with mill or lathe operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of DMG Mori Seki machines.

• Experience in CNC lathe operations is optional.

• Familiarity with deburring processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean manufacturing and machining floor, engaging in 30% medical device production, 40% aerospace, and 30% general customer projects. The role is based on a weekend shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm, with a total of 36 hours paid as 40 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
