Hiring a Machinist on 1st Shift in Chambersburg, PA

We are seeking a dedicated Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift. The role involves setting up and operating CNC machines and other equipment in the assigned cell. You will be responsible for transferring commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links, and mounting, installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.

This is a long-term opportunity

1st shift Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $23-$26/hour

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines and all other equipment in assigned cell.
Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement according to required machining sequences.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.

Essential Skills

Experience as a CNC Operator with knowledge of lathe, mill, and inspection gauges.
Ability to set up and operate manual machines.
Basic measuring, math, reading, and writing skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.66 - $26.41/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
