Job Summary:
The Post Surgical Care Unit registered nurse position is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves working in a fast-paced inpatient unit that provides surgical care to adult and geriatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their Wisconsin Registered Nurse license on the first day. This assignment is scheduled to start on July 20, 2026, with a rotating 12-hour day/night shift.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Clinical Nurse in the Post Surgical Care Unit
• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Schedule: 12-hour shift time with day/night variable shifts, starting on 07/20/2026, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN License, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience, recent hospital experience, Trauma level II experience, prior travel experience, Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency, and at least an Associate Degree or Certificate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Additional Information:
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation; travelers are guaranteed set hours unless during holidays when the unit may be closed.
  • During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear masks at all times, following mandatory policy.
