Assembler I Job This is an entry level position under the direction of the Production Supervisor with frequent guidance from a Senior Production Associate of the felt value stream; responsible for the assembly of high-quality Architectural Systems (Standard, Adaptive, and/or Lighting). Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Perform transactions in Shop-Trak; providing updates status on projects, material moves, and scrap for all assembly & packing operations Collect parts and supplies for assembly and packing processes; conduct inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and resupply as needed Uses various hand tooling while performing assembly and packing operations efficiently IAW quality standards and established safety procedures Works with peers to identify product defects and report necessary nonconformances to Senior Production Associate, Supervisor, and/or Quality Inspector Works with peers to perform reworks/repairs IAW industry best practices and/or engineering instructions Works with peers to coordinate movement assembled parts and/or products to the next step operation Prepare, assemble, package, and label completed projects for shipping Unload, receive, and store raw materials and supplies Completes work as required to meet production and schedule requirements Follows safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required Maintains equipment and work areas; cleans and performs basic repairs as needed Other duties may be assigned. Office Environment - This position may operate in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. This role may use standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines in a limited capacity. No PPE is required. Plant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty/dirty conditions. Where applicable PPE is required. PPE includes hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED (preferred) Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Cal OSHA 10 a plus OSHA Forklift Certification a plus CPR & First Aid Certification a plus
