It is CT/Xray since it's only 1 person at night. Xray is mostly portables
No weekends no call Department: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT-CT, RT
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? CT/General x-ray only
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Portables, strokes, general CT, angio CT, general x-ray
Experience or 'Must have' skills must be able to work alone
Average # of scans/studies per day 10-20 both modalities
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no
Radiologist in-house? no
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) no-done by nurse in ED
Shifts & Scheduling Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am
Weekend Requirement no
Holiday Requirement possibly Christmas
Call or Standby requirement? Response time? no unless they would like to pickup call
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? gray scrubs not provided
Department specific orientation yes done with lead or overnight tech
