Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Title: Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote (must work EST hours)

Client: Confidential – eCommerce company (health‑related products, not healthcare)

The Role

They’ve got 30TB+ sitting in a data lake, fully compartmentalized. This role is about building the pipelines to unlock it – not maintaining something that already works. Output feeds 4 initiatives: telehealth, their own product line, a personalization project (redefining UX through data), and their core selling platform. Think consumer behavior – what people buy, when, when they buy again.

Must have requirements

• 5+ years data engineering, hands‑on building pipelines/infrastructure from scratch
• Strong Python
• Snowflake
• Azure or AWS (Azure preferred, AWS fine if reputable environment)
• Data modeling / warehousing experience
• Can translate technical work for non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred

• BigQuery (used here as a reporting tool, not core infra)
• eCommerce background
• Computer Science Degree

Compensation & Benefits

• $130k – $155k base
• Up to 10% bonus, pro‑rated
