Growing together.The Coding Supervisor oversees and manages the medical coding team, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient coding of medical records while providing leadership, training, and auditing support.Schedule: FT, 40 hours. Monday - Friday during normal business hours. Primary Responsibilities:Supervise and manage coding staff: Oversee daily operations of the coding department, assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure accurate coding of inpatient and outpatient records using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCSTraining and education: Provide ongoing education to coders and clinical staff on coding updates, compliance, and best practicesAuditing and quality assurance: Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy, compliance with regulatory guidelines, and optimal reimbursementPolicy and procedure development: Develop, review, and implement coding policies, departmental procedures, and internal coding manualsCollaboration and support: Serve as a resource for other departments, resolve coding-related issues, and coordinate with management to improve workflow and operational efficiencyPerformance management: Evaluate staff performance, recommend training opportunities, and participate in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actionsReporting: Prepare departmental reports on coding productivity, compliance, and operational activities for management reviewOccasional site visits may be required when neededWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment.
