Help Shape the Future of Manufacturing Technology Makino is seeking an experienced marketing leader to drive product marketing, marketing communications, and customer engagement initiatives across North America. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Customer Support, and global marketing teams to strengthen Makino's market presence, support business growth, and deliver impactful marketing programs. The Director of Marketing will lead a team responsible for product marketing, brand management, digital marketing, trade shows and events, lead generation, and market intelligence. This individual will play a key role in bringing Makino's innovative manufacturing solutions to market while ensuring customers and sales teams have the tools and resources needed to succeed. What You'll Do Lead and develop the Product Management and Marketing teams. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that supports company goals. Manage relationships with external marketing agencies, public relations firms, and event partners. Establish marketing priorities and allocate resources to support business objectives. Support the full lifecycle of Makino products, from market introduction through ongoing growth initiatives. Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to guide business decisions. Partner with Sales and Engineering teams to develop effective product positioning and messaging. Help identify market opportunities and customer needs to support future product development. Marketing Programs & Communications Oversee marketing communications, advertising, digital content, trade shows, seminars, and promotional campaigns. Lead product launches and ensure successful market introductions. Support lead generation and customer engagement programs. Develop sales tools, customer success stories, presentations, and product-related marketing content. Business Support Manage marketing budgets and monitor program effectiveness. Coordinate customer and market research activities. Ensure accurate product information, specifications, and marketing materials are available to support sales efforts. Drive continuous improvement of marketing processes, tools, and systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 7+ years of marketing experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience developing and executing successful B2B marketing strategies. Strong project management, communication, and team leadership skills. Ability to work effectively across sales, engineering, and customer support functions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, machine tools, or other technical industries. Product marketing or product management experience. Experience utilizing CRM platforms to analyze sales and customer data, generate insights, and support marketing strategy. Exposure to global marketing initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
