Role Description The Medical Doctor will provide direct patient care in both primary care and urgent care settings at our on-site clinic in Running Springs, CA. Daily responsibilities include performing patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. The role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, performing minor office procedures within scope of practice, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed. The Medical Doctor will document encounters accurately in the medical record, provide patient education on diagnoses and preventive care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience. Qualifications Current MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related field. Active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) to practice in the state of California and current DEA registration. Strong clinical skills in primary and urgent care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs), maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to applicable clinical and regulatory standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patients, collaborate effectively with clinical staff, and provide clear patient education. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and ethical practice, including sound clinical judgment and respect for confidentiality. Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations. Board certification or board eligibility in a relevant specialty is preferred; BLS and ACLS certifications are strongly preferred.
