Community Consultant (Leasing Agent) | The Meadows Apartments (Tacoma, WA) Founded in 1987, American Property Management has grown to manage over 5,500 units across the Washington region. We lead in multifamily community management, integrating technology to improve operations and elevate resident experiences. Schedule – Tuesday – Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work additional hours may be required. On‑Site Requirement – Physical presence at the job location during scheduled hours is mandatory. Applicants must be able to reliably commute or intend to relocate before starting. Current property residents are not eligible for this position. Property Information – 200‑unit garden‑style apartment community built in 2009. Compensation Package – Pay: $24 – $26 per hour* Monthly Leasing Bonuses 25% live‑on‑site discount Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits (employer pays 85% of premiums) 401(k) contribution with annual company match Paid sick leave accrual of 1.33 hours per 30 hours worked (~11 days per year) Paid vacation beginning at two weeks, increasing with tenure 11 paid holidays, including 2 personal holidays of your choice *The above compensation is a range. What We Offer Competitive starting wages (listed above) Company‑wide commitment to diversity and inclusion Positive work environment valuing employee contributions Fun culture with team‑building activities and events Comprehensive training programs and development opportunities What We're Looking For 2+ years of customer service experience (required) 1+ year in multifamily/student housing industry within the last 10 years (preferred) Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws, Landlord/Tenant Laws, and ADA laws (preferred) High school diploma or GED (required) Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Proficient communication skills and teamwork Positive outlook and collaborative approach Responsibility and pride in work Fluent in English (strong reading, speaking, and writing) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Your Role Tour units with prospective tenants, highlighting property and unit strengths Handle customer and tenant relations, addressing issues promptly with high service level Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the local market Prepare and maintain reports for managers Host community events in compliance with company quality standards Assist residents through the entire rental process • The responsibilities above are not all-inclusive.
