Physical Therapist

Role Overview The Physical Therapist develops and administers individualized physical therapy programs to meet patient goals through assessment and interpretation of evaluations. Key Responsibilities include analyzing risks, problem-solving, providing competent interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, neuromotor development, and use of physical agents, while ensuring safety and compliance with licensing standards. Supervises physical therapy assistants, evaluates treatment effects, and adjusts plans accordingly. Maintains professional knowledge through ongoing education and adheres to HIPAA and ethical guidelines. Preferred Attributes include strength conditioning certification, teamwork with sports performance, manual skills, and knowledge of recovery systems. Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree, NYS licensure, with experience in sports medicine or outpatient orthopaedics preferred.
