Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Float Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff, and coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Essential Functions Collect relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develop and implement a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Coordinate care delivery and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify patient-specific outcomes. Collaborate with a team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and compassionate care. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to facilitate continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of team members. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Night Shift - 36 or 48 hour shifts. EPIC experience is required. Holiday requests for time off will not be approved. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Experience in an acute care facility is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification is required.
