Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

Perform general ledger account analysis and bank reconciliations.

Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation.

Take ownership of monthly workpapers and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.

Prepare commission calculations and related reports.

Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.

Work collaboratively with the accounting team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Apply strong analytical skills and close attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

Proactively establish checks and balances to identify discrepancies and maintain the integrity of financial information.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.

CPA designation preferred.

Two or more years of public accounting experience preferred.

Experience with ERP/CSD systems and QuickBooks is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.

Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Overview:

For NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 per year. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and in compliance with applicable laws.
