About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Float Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with Ortho/ Neuro- Stroke, Cardiac Tele required. Description: Travelers can have 1 of 3 major holidays off and must work 2 holidays (eve/day). Required to work all scheduled shifts. The facility cannot accommodate scheduling requests outside of approved time off. Ratios are 1:4-5. First-timers are not accepted. Travelers are required to work every other weekend. Travelers are expected to be flexible. Candidates must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. There will be a fill-in-the-blank pass/fail test during orientation. Experience with peripheral nerve catheters is preferred, as there is high volume on orthopedic floors. The float pool covers all acute care and telemetry units. Staffing includes a diverse patient population, ranging from medicine, neuro, burn, orthopedic surgical, to rehab. Floating is an expectation, with the possibility of working in multiple units within a shift. Strong time management skills are essential. Daily onsite parking is available. Additional offsite parking options will be provided. Modules are completed pre-start. If required, additional training for specific populations will need to be completed. Compliance with professional standards and expectations is mandatory. The ideal candidate must have strong orthopedic and neuro skills.
