Bun / Dessert Prep

Prepare dough, form and shape buns and mochi, and operate commercial kitchen machinery in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.

Compensation: $22.75/hour. The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits. Your recruiter can share more information about the salary range and other factors during the hiring process.

Job requirements for Bun / Dessert Prep include being friendly, energetic, and highly motivated to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Assisting in operating different types of bun and dessert dumpling-related machinery, assisting in cleaning different types of bun and dessert dumpling-related machinery, Monday-Saturday availability preferred, bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, ability to stand for long periods of time, positive and professional attitude, assisting in loading and unloading the bun steamer oven, packing and sealing bun and dessert dumpling items.

Physical demands include frequently working in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100 lbs. Constantly exposed to both hot and cold temperature conditions is pertinent. Follows all safety procedures, uses restaurant safety words during all shifts, and asks for assistance as needed. Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury: cutting gloves when cutting, back support belt when lifting heavy items, goggles and long gloves when working with chemicals, other PPE as needed (if applicable).
