Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

New Rates $34/HR - $37/HR + $2.00 Shift Differential for Nights and Weekends. Shift demands include 7am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, 11pm-7:30am and flexible scheduling every weekend or every other weekend. Job Duties Ensures that all residents are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure throughout their stay by reviewing resident's plan of care. Coordinates nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained. Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with current federal, state and local standards. Ensures that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies and equipment is on hand to meet nursing needs of the residents. Administers professional services such as treatment of catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings, bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc. as required. Completes and files required records/forms/charts upon the resident’s admission and residence. Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation of resident property. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Active license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey required. Minimum of 1-year experience working as an LPN. Knowledge of electronic charting a plus. Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis. Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners and others. Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.
